Accommodation

The Language Unit Base in the Infant school is called The Rainbow Room.

It is a comfortably furnished classroom with areas for formal work, imaginative role play and  art and craft activities.

It has been specifically resourced to meet the needs of children with speech, language and communication impairments.

Children come to work in the Rainbow Room for intensive teaching or to work with an SNA on their individual speech therapy programme.

Within the Infant school the Language Unit also has a small office/assessment/quiet room called The Talk Shop. Yvonne Paris, our Speech and Language Therapist works mainly in the Talk Shop where she sees the children individually each week.
